        In-Processing Checklist

        Reporting Guidelines

        • Army Recruiter Course (ARC)
Upon notification from Recruiting School (ARC) that you have been selected for assignment to NYC Recruiting Battalion, S-1 supervisor will contact you via e-mail. For further assistance, please call (718) 630-4391.

Next, your sponsor will contact you to help facilitate your move to our battalion. Once signed in, the recruiting in-processing will begin by arriving you in the system for our area. This is an automated process.

        • Reporting
You are required to report to battalion headquarters, located in Bay Ridge area of Brooklyn under the Verrazano Bridge. Address: Bldg 212 General Lee Avenue, Fort Hamilton, NY  11252

Walk-in hours are 0900-1500. Closed daily for lunch 11:30-1300hrs. Report for duty in Army Combat Uniform (ACU). Your sponsor will coordinate meeting you in S-1 to assist with in-processing.

Permissive TDY is authorized for the first 10 days after signing in as long as you did not previously take it in conjunction with your PCS leave. After these 10 days, soldiers will be required to start their recruiting duties.

        • Pay Entitlements
BAH is a combination of BAQ and VHA. It differs depending on your assignment area. The intent of this allowance is to provide Soldier a housing allowance comparable to their counterparts (of comparable salary and dependency status).

SDAP is effective on the date of in-processing and takes approximately 60 days to activate.

TLE is authorized for up to 10 days. You must fill out a TLE worksheet and submit it along with a copy of your hotel receipts. Temporary housing may be available. Contact your sponsor for assistance.

Family Separation Pay is authorized for your time at the ARC. Fill out DD Form 1561. You cannot file this entitlement until your travel claim has been returned to finance.

NOTE: Failure to do so will greatly affect the time it takes to receive your authorized pay entitlements, listed above.

         Reporting Essentials

You must bring the following items with you at the time you in process:
