Welcome to the New York City Recruiting Battalion
On behalf of the Soldiers and Civilians of the New York City Recruiting Battalion, I want to welcome you to our organization. The New York City Recruiting Battalion prides itself on having the finest noncommissioned officers in the Army. Our most successful Recruiting NCOs are those who recognize and embrace the fact that they are Soldiers first who live the Army Values and embody the Soldiers Creed and Warrior Ethos. Our motto is “Liberty!” We stand as professional Soldiers and Civilians in America’s Army, the finest in the world. We stand proud as symbols of the Army’s strength. We share the Army Story with integrity. We embrace the challenges, rewards, and excitement that serving New York City entails.
My unchanging priorities are: professional leadership, recruiting quality Future Soldiers, engaging the NYC and Long Island Communities, utilizing every available resource for mission success, and achieving mission and posturing for future success. These priorities form the foundation for all that we do, how we interact as a unit with one another, and how we interact with the local community that we are a part of. These priorities also form the foundation for our successful recruiting operations as we strive to exceed the standard in leading qualified applicants on their journey to become the strength of America’s Army. You, like so many of the Soldiers on our team, will have the opportunity to have a tremendous impact within your area of responsibility, potentially on the lives of hundreds of people that you will encounter on your tour.
New York City and the surrounding areas are filled with great opportunities for Soldiers and Families. The area’s museums, restaurants, shops and vistas are unlike anything else in the country. While the mission is demanding you will still have an opportunity to truly enjoy the experience of New York.
We look forward to your arrival and integrating you into our organization. If you have questions about your assignment that cannot be answered by the information in the attached welcome packet, please call our Family Support Coordinator at 718-630-4372.
