Our Companies

Welcome to the Raleigh Recruiting Battalion

        Dear Soldier and Family Members:

Welcome!  The Raleigh Recruiting Battalion, home of the “Bulldogs” is proud that you will soon become a part of our team.

Our mission is to maintain our nations’ strength by recruiting qualified young men and women for the Regular Army and Army Reserve.  The Raleigh Battalion upholds this mission with honor and integrity and thereby enjoys well deserved reputation for excellence.  As you become a team member, we will ask your support in maintaining this reputation and tradition.

Along with the Battalion Staff, we are here to assist you and your family in any way possible to make your transition into the battalion, recruiting, and a new community as smooth as possible.  We are truly concerned about the welfare of our Soldiers and their Families. It is very important that you arrive prepared prior to in-processing the Battalion and the Company, which is why you should check out our website at (http://www.usarec.army.mil/2ndbde/3jbn) and become a fan of our Facebook page (US Army Recruiting Battalion-Raleigh) prior to arriving to the Battalion.  Each website provides ample information on in-processing, geographical background and contact information, and what is happening in the Bulldog Battalion.

When you receive this letter, contact the S1 at (919) 850-3201 to confirm your final recruiting station assignment.  Your assignment is based on the requirements and the needs of the Battalion.  Do not purchase a house or sign a lease until you have written confirmation of your actual assignment. Please reference the Army Lease Program via USAREC website or the info paper located in your welcome packet.  Welcome packets are maintained at the school house and our website.  Feel free to contact us, particularly if you have an EFMP family member or other issues affecting your next duty location.  If you own a motorcycle or have the intent to purchase one, the CG directed that a motorcycle safety course must be completed prior to PCSing to your current unit.  Most installations offer these safety courses.

The Bulldog military and civilian workforce is proud of this great Battalion and looks forward to you sharing in our mission to “Provide the Strength” to our great country.  Once again, welcome to the Raleigh Battalion Family.

        Sincerely,

Raleigh Recruiting Battalion Commander & Command Sergeant Major
