The battalion mission is to recruit young American men and women into the US Army in order to maintain America’s capability to protect its national security interests.

Vision Statement

Welcome to the U. S. Army's Houston Recruiting Battalion, where we coach and mentor America's finest men and women to join our ranks in the most powerful military in the world.

The Army builds soldier's with character, which are mentally, physically and emotionally strong. Soldiers take pride in their service and in making a difference for themselves, their families and our nation.

The benefits are practically countless for those who enlist. For example, qualified individuals can receive an enlistment bonus up to $40,000 and more than $70,000 for college and an additional $69,000+ to repay qualifying student loans or for tuition assistance.

The Army has hundreds of occupational specialties for anyone who is a US citizen or permanent legal resident, healthy, in good physical condition, has a high school or equivalent education and has a high moral standing.
