        If you are moving here from previous recruiting assignment, you are already used to the unique Army lifestyle. However, if you are new to recruiting, you will find this Army assignment is unique in many ways; one we hope you will enjoy and into which you can easily transition.

        Think of this office as your mini-Army Community Services. I service roughly 400 people, to include Army recruiters, their families and single soldiers. I look forward to meeting you.         • MilSpouse.Org This website has information on exploring careers, job search, education & training, scholarship info etc.
        • Military Spouse Career Advancement Account (CAA) is an employment assistance program that provides up to $4,000 of financial assistance to eligible military spouses who are pursuing a license, certification or Associate’s degree in a portable career field and occupation.  It is open to all eligible spouses pay grades E1-E5 or O1-O2, please see website for specifics.
        • Military OneSource  MOS offers real help, anytime, anywhere 24 Hours a Day, 7 Days a Week at no cost.  Services include: Consultation, research, referrals, interpretation and translation, counseling, educational materials, childcare, relocation tools, etc.
        • Exceptional Family Member Program or Military HOMEFRONT  EFMP is a mandatory enrollment program that works with other military and civilian agencies to provide comprehensive and coordinated community support, housing, education, medical, and personnel services to Families with special needs.  Soldiers on active duty enroll in the program when they have a Family member with a  physical, emotional, developmental, or intellectual disorder requiring specialized services so their needs can be considered in the military personnel assignment process.
        • Automated Housing Referral Network The Automated Housing Referral Network ( is sponsored by the Department of Defense and is designed to improve the process of securing available housing for relocating military members and their families.
        • Army Emergency Relief AER funds are made available to commanders having AER Sections to provide emergency financial assistance to soldiers - active & retired - and their dependents when there is a valid need.
        • American Red Cross The Red Cross offers Disaster Preparedness classes, childcare & CPR classes as well as access to obtain AER Loan for Soldiers not located on installation.
        • Army FRG The Army FRG website is a secure site only available to Soldiers/DA Civilians and their Family Members.  The Army FRG site provides Family Members with a valuable tool to access documents, view photos/videos, participate in forums, and gain important information about the Army unit that their Soldier/DA Civilian belongs to 24/7 from anywhere in the world.
        • Morale, Welfare and Recreation (MWR) The US Army Family and Morale, Welfare and Recreation Command, also known as FMWRC, a subordinate command of the Army’s Installation Management Command, is a comprehensive network of quality support and leisure services that enhances the lives of Soldiers, Civilians, Families, military retirees and other eligible participants.
        • Army Family Action Plan  Army Family Action Plan (AFAP) is the Army's grassroots process to identify and elevate the most significant quality of life issues impacting Soldiers (all components), Retirees, Department of Army (DA) Civilians, and Families to senior leaders for action, for more information please visit the website.
        • Army Community Service (ACS)  the official Web site for Fort Sam Houston's Army Community Service. The goal of ACS is to equip people with the skills and support they need to face the challenges of military life…today as well as tomorrow.
