While PCS travel always has many surprises, knowing more about the area and the people you'll be working with can really help. This site is designed to help you familiarize yourself with your new community and enable you to contact your commander and 1st Sergeant.
Please call our S-1 staff at 602-254-1739 with questions regarding in-processing or your orders. In-processing begins at 0800; report to the Battalion BEFORE reporting to your Place of Duty. Park in the all-day parking lot located at the intersection of 1st Street & Washington, as you won't have time during in-processing to feed a parking meter. The CSM wants every Soldier to be weighed during in-processing, so you’ll need to bring your PT clothes with you. You will also have an UA.
If there is a delay in the shipment of your household goods, please see your Recruiting Company Headquarters for use of lending closet items, such as pots, pans, dishes, and small appliances. You are welcome to bring your spouse for in-processing. We are able to reimburse you for child-care expenses if you and your spouse both come to in processing. Please contact the Soldier and Family Assistance Program Manager, for more information.
