Welcome to the Salt Lake City Recruiting Battalion
The Salt Lake City Battalion covers a large geographic area in the states of Utah, Idaho, Wyoming, Nevada, Montana and small corner of Oregon. Even though there are three major installations in the Battalion area of operation, most of the recruiting stations are geographically remote from them. In most cases, it will be in your best interest to live within the recruiting area to which you are being assigned. With the work hours in recruiting, travel time to and from work should be limited to the least amount possible to provide more quality time spent with your family. For information regarding the Government Leased Housing Program, contact the Facilities Manager at (801) 974-3027 or by e-mailing 6jbn-tcco@usarec.army.mil. You will be assigned a sponsor and receive a welcome packet from the Battalion. This packet will provide you more information on your assignment and the area to which you are being assigned. For further information, contact the Battalion S-1 at (801) 974-9513 or by e-mailing 6jbn-s1@usarec.army.mil. If you have family members, they may report with you to the Battalion Headquarters located at 2830 South Redwood Road., Salt Lake City, UT 84119. They will be briefed on all aspects of medical and dental plans and coverage. For information on all aspects of Soldier and Family Assistance, contact the Battalion SFA at (801) 974-9521 or by e-mailing 6jbn-sfa@usarec.army.mil.
