TRICARE Regions Provide Centralized Service

TRICARE transitioned from 12 regions and 7 contractors stateside to 3 regions and 3 contractors to better meet the health care needs of TRICARE beneficiaries. Each of the three TRICARE regions in the United States has a regional contractor that helps coordinate medical services available through the military treatment facilities and through a network of civilian hospitals and providers.


TRICARE - U.S. Department of Defense Military Health Program

TRICARE is a regionally managed health care program for active duty and retired members of the uniformed services, their Families, and survivors. TRICARE brings together the health care resources of the Army, Navy and Air Force and supplements them with networks of civilian health care professionals to provide better access and high quality service while maintaining the capability to support military operations.

TRICARE Prime Remote

TRICARE Prime Remote (TPR) provides health care coverage through civilian network or TRICARE-authorized providers for Uniformed Service members and their Families who are on remote assignment, typically 50 miles from a military treatment facility (MTF). TRICARE Prime Remote for Active Duty Family Members (TPRADFM) is the TPR benefit for Family members with similar benefits and program requirements. TPR/TPRADFM is offered in the 50 United States only, and both require enrollment for active duty and their Family members program.

Active Duty Dental Program (ADDP)

The ADDP provides private sector dental care to ensure dental health and deployment readiness for active duty service members (ADSMs). The ADDP provides dental care to ADSMs who are unable to receive required care from a military dental treatment facility (DTF). United Concordia will coordinate an appointment for routine dental care (e.g., examinations, cleanings, fillings) within 21 calendar days of request and 28 calendar days for specialty dental care (e.g., crowns, bridges, dentures, periodontal treatment).

TRICARE Dental Program (TDP)

TRICARE Dental Program (TDP) is offered by the Department of Defense (DoD) through the TRICARE Management Activity (TMA). United Concordia Companies, Inc. administers and underwrites the TDP for the TMA. The TDP is a high quality, cost- effective dental care benefit for eligible family members of all active duty Uniformed Service personnel.

TRICARE Pharmacy

TRICARE provides a world-class, comprehensive pharmacy benefit. Their focus is on providing you with exemplary health care, and efficient and courteous customer service. We strive to offer you a flexible, convenient pharmacy program that ensures you and your Family top-of-the-line service and products.

Defense Enrollment Eligibility Reporting System (DEERS)

It is important that DEERS records get updated when personal eligibility information changes. This includes changes in military career status; addresses; and Family status (marriage, divorce, birth, and adoption) etc.
