Army Medical Recruiting Brigade
Army Medical Recruiting Brigade welcomed Command Sgt. Maj. Michael Schwab as its senior enlisted leader during a change of responsibility ceremony March 16.
MRB Commander Col. Timothy Hudson presented outgoing Command Sgt. Maj. Vincent Lewis with the Recruiting Excellence Medallion. The medallion recognizes Soldiers, Department of Defense civilians, and community leaders who have made a significant impact on the recruiting effort.
"Leaders come and go, but the ability to lead, train and accomplish the mission never extinguishes," Hudson said of Lewis.
He said Lewis has been his confidant, MRB's primary trainer, standard bearer, and advisor, and that he, the brigade and the command are better because of Lewis.
Recognizing those who've made significant contributions to his career, Lewis said serving as MRB's CSM had exceeded his expectations. He congratulated Schwab saying, the new CSM will do a fantastic job.
Lewis is taking another position at USAREC headquarters.
Schwab thanked his family for moving five times in seven years, his mother for allowing him to join the Army at age 17, and Lewis for his advice.
