2017 USAREC Civilian Employees of the Year announced

FORT KNOX, Ky. - U.S. Army Recruiting Command has announced its 2017 Civilian Employees of the Year, who were selected from the headquarters and brigade-level winners.

The winners and runners up are as follows:

Organizational Support Employee of the Year: Alicia Sperry, human resources assistant, Great Lakes Battalion

  • Runner-up: Erin Hall, protocol assistant, USAREC headquarters, Executive Services
  • Other nominees: Tiffany Woods, secretary, Medical Recruiting Brigade
Program Support Employee of the Year: Rosanna Jessop, human resources assistant, Medical Recruiting Brigade
  • Runner-up: Andrew Patterson, human resources assistant, New England Battalion
  • Other nominees: Jennifer Cope, security assistant, USAREC headquarters, G3; Glenn Rodgers, statistical assistant 2nd Brigade headquarters; Janet Tackett, support services specialist, Columbus Battalion; Ferdinand Sampedro, human resources assistant, Denver Battalion; Susan Ponce, human resources assistant, Northern California Battalion
Outstanding Program Specialist Employee of the Year: Thomas Folsom, management analyst, USAREC headquarters, G4/8
  • Runner-up: Regina Soice, public affairs specialist, 3rd Medical Recruiting Battalion
  • Other nominees: Linda Satterwhite, IT specialist, 2nd Brigade; Donald Laurence, program analyst, Nashville Battalion; Shelby Norris, program analyst, Houston Battalion; Gerald Hogan, program analyst, Los Angeles Battalion
Outstanding Professional Employee of the Year: Susan Larson, education services specialist, Minneapolis Battalion
  • Runner-up: Scott Phillips, operation research analyst, USAREC headquarters, G2
  • Other nominees: Wendi George, victim advocate, 2nd Brigade; Larry Beer, education services specialist, Denver Battalion; Jeremy McMullen, education services specialist, Central California Battalion
Outstanding Supervisory Employee of the Year: John Sheehy, supervisory accessions suitability specialist, USAREC headquarters, G3

  • Runner-up: Jodi Gott, supervisory IT specialist, 2nd Brigade
"All nominees had extremely competitive packages, which made the selection process a challenge," said Col. Isaac Johnson, U.S. Army Recruiting Command chief of staff. "All nominees should be commended for their hard work, dedication to USAREC, and commitment to their respective communities."

The winners will be recognized formally during the USAREC Annual Soldier and Civilian of the Year recognition ceremony Oct. 25.
