CSM Tabitha A. Gavia
CSM Tabitha A. Gavia became the senior enlisted leader for U.S. Army Recruiting Command at Fort Knox, Kentucky, on July 25, 2018.

She has served in the Army since January 1988, when she attended Basic Training at Fort McClellan, Alabama, followed by Advanced Individual Training to become a Pershing II Missile Electronic Repairer at Redstone Arsenal, Alabama. She later attended the Advanced Individual Training for Radiology Specialists at Fort Sam Houston, Texas.
Her assignments include 41st Ordnance Company, 59th Ordnance Brigade, West Germany; Madigan Army Medical Center, Fort Lewis, Washington; 99th Support Battalion, 199th Infantry Brigade, Fort Lewis, Washington; Troop Support Squadron, 2nd Armored Cavalry Regiment, Fort Polk, Louisiana; Fort Polk NCO Academy, Fort Polk, Louisiana; Denver Recruiting Battalion, Colorado Springs, Colorado; Walter Reed Army Medical Center, Washington, D.C.; 21st Combat Support Hospital, Fort Hood, Texas; Army Medical Department Center and School, Fort Sam Houston, Texas; 65th Medical Brigade, Republic of Korea; General Leonard Wood Army Community Hospital, Fort Leonard Wood, Missouri; Brooke Army Medical Center, Fort Sam Houston, Texas; Western Regional Medical Command, Joint Base Lewis-McCord, Washington; Regional Health Command-Pacific, Joint Base Lewis-McCord; and Regional Health Command Central, San Antonio, Texas.

CSM Gavia has served in several duty positions throughout her career, to include Pershing II Missile Electronic Repairer, Radiology Specialist, Area Support Team NCO, Squad Leader, PLDC Instructor, Recruiter, Station Commander, Imaging and Radiology Services NCOIC, Combat Support Hospital Operations NCO, Combat Medic Training Research and Development NCO, First Sergeant, Chief Instructor/Writer, Academy of Health Sciences Senior Enlisted Advisor, Brigade Operations Sergeant, General Leonard Wood Army Community Hospital Command Sergeant Major, Brooke Army Medical Center Command Sergeant Major, Western Regional Medical Command Sergeant Major, Chief Medical NCO, Regional Health Command-Pacific, and Regional Health Command Central Command Sergeant Major.

Her military education includes all NCOPDS courses. She is a graduate of the United States Army Sergeants Major Academy, Class 55. She holds an associate’s degree in technology, a Bachelor of Science in liberal arts, and a Master of Business Administration. Her awards and decorations include the Legion of Merit, Bronze Star Medal, Meritorious Service Medal (Silver OLC), Army Commendation Medal (1 OLC), the Army Achievement Medal (8th AWD), and the Expert Field Medical Badge. She is a member of the Sergeant Audie Murphy Club and the Order of Military Medical Merit.
